Typical Sailing Itinerary

Our breaks provide an excellent opportunity for single people to enjoy an active atmosphere and a breath of fresh air. There’s no awkward blind-date aspect, and no worry of winding up marooned in a Survivor-style situation without your collection of desert-island books to keep you company! Instead, we provide a luxury yacht for the weekend, complete with an experienced skipper, an event host, a well-mixed group of active singles and an itinerary designed to get participants talking.

Singles’ sailing holidays with Events Together start on Friday evening, when you’ll arrive and stow your gear on a 43ft luxury yacht.  Before you get TOO cozy, you'll be heading out for a drink and a chat with your shipmates at a local pub to break the ice. Saturday morning, there’s breakfast on board before the action kicks off with a jaunt around Portsmouth harbour in a lightning-fast powerboat. The group will then board the yacht and set sail up the Solent.

This is when the real fun begins! You’ll learn how the boat works, get to know your shipmates and soak up the atmosphere. Cowes will be your port for the evening, where a great meal and some excellent nightlife awaits. You’ll have plenty of time to get to know the other singles in your group before heading back to bunk up for the night. Sunday morning, you’ll have breakfast with your shipmates before departing for the South Coast. The yacht will moor up for a lunch stop somewhere along the way, giving you more face time with the other singles, and arrive back in Portsmouth in the evening.

What’s Included?

For starters, a good time! Whether you’re familiar with rigging a boat already or just interested in the experience, there’s plenty to learn on board the boat. Your Events Together host will have a variety of activities for everyone to participate in – ensuring you get to know your shipmates a little better.

Throughout the journey, you’ll be encouraged to use some of your new skills, offer advice to shipmate and generally enjoy your time on the water. Foul weather gear, safety gear and all harbour/marina fees are included in the price for your singles’ sailing holiday. All you’ve got do is pack a few essentials, and bring your enthusiasm!
