Famous for being one of Europe's largest and liveliest ski resorts, Chamonix can be found at the base of Europe's highest and most famous mountain Mont Blanc (4810 M) in the French Alps, on the borders of Switzerland and Italy. For the daring, Europe's longest cable car takes you to the famous Aiguille du Midi which marks the starting point for the spectacular descent along the Vallee Blanche.
