Format of the evening
Daters should arrive at 6.45pm for registration, after which you can buy drinks at the bar and mingle with other guests. The speed dating starts at 7.30pm prompt and each date lasts approximately 3 minutes. Once your 3 minutes are up our staff assist you to move onto your next date. Join us tonight at La Plancha, this fabulous Spanish Restaurant, Cocktail and Tapas Bar is situated on the A435 Birmingham to Evesham road in Moseley and very easy to find. Parking is on-street and there are plenty of places where free parking can be found very nearby in the side streets as well as on the main road itself.

Tonight we have a brilliant Speed Dating event for you to come along to. When you arrive at 7.30pm, go straight upstairs to the private room available for our sole use. An arrival you will be given a complimentary cocktail (made from their speciality list) which should calm any would be nerves.

How does it all work?

Once everyone has arrived and registered, they will be given a name badge with a number on it. This number will correspond to the table they will be sitting at. Ladies stay on this same table during the whole event, but the men will move around. You will also receive a pen and a match sheet to fill out during the event. Each mini-date will last for approximately 3-5 minutes. On the matchsheet you will tick whether you would like to see that person again as a date or as a friend. At the end of the event, you will hand in the matchsheets for them to be inputted into the computer and your results will be given to you within 48 hours of the event. It's as simple as that!

During the evening there will be an interval halfway through, where you will have the opportunity to replenish your drinks from the bar and we shall share some tapas together, to give everyone a chance to mingle.

XfactorDates have exclusive use of the private room downstairs, perfect for Speed Dating! This fab venue combines culinary delights with a wide range of drinks, ideal for creating a romantic mood.

Registration opens from 7.30pm and Speed Dating kicks off at 8pm prompt.

Our Speed Dating evenings are a great fun way to meet likeminded singles in a relaxed atmosphere. Just come along with an open mind and don't take it too seriously. You'll have a great time and meet lots of single people and the chance to meet that someone special.

Speed Dating guests are greeted by our Host and Icebreaker. On arrival our host will register you in to the event and give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pen, then invite you to have a drink at the bar to mingle with other guests.

Then the host will announce that the dating begins. Women will be seated, while men will rotate between tables every 3-4 minutes so you get to meet and chat to everyone at the event. After each date, guests mark on a scorecard whether they would like to see that person again.

The Speed Dating sessions finish between 9 and 10pm, when guests are invited to stay on afterwards for drinks at the bar and further mingling.

Everyone takes their scorecards home with them at the end of the night to enter their ticks online on the Xfactor website and find out who they?ve matched with. You can then contact anyone you match with through our secure website. All our events are guaranteed! If you don't meet at least one person you'd like to see again, your next event is free.
