The Event

Can I book in advance?

Yes. All events operate on a first come first served basis so it's important to book early to avoid any disappointment. No bookings can be taken on the night.

How many dates will I get?

You will normally get between fifteen and twenty-five dates at the event, although some events, particularly in provincial towns, are smaller. In our experience thirty dates is a sensible maximum as speed dating is quite tiring. How many dates you go on AFTER the event depends on how many people you liked and who liked you!

What if the event is full?

We have to manage numbers carefully to ensure equal numbers of men and women at our events. However, we are often able to take additional bookings that do not affect the balance of numbers - for instance, two men and two women. Just give us a call on 0870 750 6392 to find out the current situation for the event you want to attend.

What if I clam up?

Remember everyone is in exactly the same position. You are bound to be a bit nervous at the outset but go with the flow and before long you'll relax into it and be chatting at ease. Besides if you are naturally drawn to someone you'll want to make the most of your three minutes!

What should I wear?

There is no dress code at our speed dating events, but as we all know, first impressions count. The important thing is to be yourself and be comfortable in what you are wearing.

The clothes you wear say a lot about you, so clean and ironed is highly recommended! Beyond that, feel free to express yourself - after all, the world would be a dull place if we all dressed the same!

Are the events held in private?

Where possible we choose venues that have a seperate area where we can run our speed dating parties.

Are there any restrictions?

You must be single, over 18 years of age.
